New Managing Director at Xecuro

01 August 2023 – Dr Alexander Koenen is new Managing Director at Xecuro GmbH. He has been working at the Bonn location since 1 August 2023 and will head the Bundesdruckerei Group company alongside Marcus Milas. Koenen succeeds Sven Kneutgen, who has been Head of IT at Bundesdruckerei GmbH since July this year.

IT Experience Gained in the private sector, the German Armed Forces and NATO

As an expert for secure communication solutions, Dr. Alexander Koenen will be working for the subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH founded in 2021. Xecuro GmbH has been tasked by the Federal Foreign Office with operating and expanding the federal project of interdepartmental VS communication (R-VSK) as the lead department. 

Koenen has a degree in computer science and a doctorate in engineering. He most recently worked at Infodas GmbH in Cologne, a medium-sized company that specialises in cyber security and IT in the public sector and for critical infrastructures. Koenen also has extensive IT experience to offer from his time in the German Armed Forces. He was deployed to NATO in Belgium, among other things. “Dr. Alexander Koenen’s vast wealth of experience is an enrichment for Xecuro; we are very pleased to have gained him for our group of companies”, says Dr Stefan Hofschen, Managing Director at Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH.
