Trust space for the digital world
The eIDAS Regulation (electronic IDentification, Authentication and trust Services) has been in force since 2014 and enables uniform digital administrative and business processes throughout Europe. With this regulation, the European Union has created a uniform legal framework for the use of standardized trust services. These include the qualified electronic signature (QES), the qualified electronic seal (QSeal) or qualified website certificates (QWACs). With these so-called tools, eIDAS provides a trust space in the digital world where interaction between people, software and machines can take place in a secure manner.
