Group structure
Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH is a direct, wholly-owned subsidiary of the German federal government.

Maurer Electronics GmbH is a subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei GmbH and develops ID systems and system components for its parent company. Maurer Electronics develops hardware and software for the capture, personalization and verification of ID documents. It also integrates these components into complete system solutions and offers services for the integrated hardware and software solutions. Maurer Electronics has its registered office in Munich and branch offices in Hamburg and Hanover. The company also has a subsidiary in Split (Croatia), Maurer Electronics Split d.o.o.
D-Trust GmbH, headquartered in Berlin, is a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group. It is a pioneer in secure digital identities due to its technologically advanced solutions. In this way, the company strengthens the trust in digitisation. As an independent and qualified trust service provider, D-Trust has been listed as part of the eIDAS Regulation in the Federal Network Agency since 2016. The company translates trust into tangible products. It provides legally secure and certified trust services such as digital certificates and electronic signatures along with solutions for secure data management and data trustee platforms. They meet the highest security standard of modern infrastructures and enable safe digital identities for companies, governmental agencies and in the private sphere.
Based in Kirchheim near Munich, genua GmbH is a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group. The company is committed to paving the way for the digital transformation. With its high-security, scalable cybersecurity solutions, it protects sensitive IT networks in the public and enterprise sector, at KRITIS organizations and in industries obliged to secrecy. genua’s focus is on comprehensive protection for networks, on communications and internal network security for IT and OT. The company’s portfolio includes firewalls and gateways, VPNs, remote maintenance systems, internal network security and cloud security, right through to remote access solutions for mobile employees and home offices.
iNCO Spółka z o.o. based in Gorzów Wielkopolski in Poland is a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group. The company provides with its call center support for the products and services of the Bundesdruckerei Group. iNCO also supplies scanning services, OCR recognition and data capture.
Berlin-based Xecuro GmbH is a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group. The company’s remit will be to set up and operate a secure communications system in the public sector, thus supporting public-sector activities in the digital world.
Shareholdings
Veridos GmbH with its headquarters in Berlin is operated jointly by Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH and Giesecke+Devrient. In this joint venture, the partners have bundled their international business with solutions for secure identification, such as passport and ID card systems for governments. Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH holds a 40-percent interest in this joint venture.
With a share of 22.4 percent, Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH is a shareholder of Hamburg-based DERMALOG Identification Systems GmbH. DERMALOG is Germany's largest biometrics manufacturer and one of the world's leading companies in biometric identification. One of the company's key products is automated fingerprint identification systems (AFIS).
Bundesdruckerei Gruppe GmbH holds a 0.52 percent stake in Verimi GmbH based in Berlin. This alliance between several German companies aims to create the most secure and user-friendly trust platform for identity services and payments in Europe. Using a type of ‘master key’ for online services and public authorities, logging on to websites is to be made much easier thanks to a single sign-on, making Internet use more secure.
